Our clinical research studies are located in Maternal Fetal Medicine (Evanston Hospital First Floor). Our basic research studies are located in the sub-basement of the Walgreens building (Evanston Hospital) .

ABOUT US

The Translational Laboratory for Pelvic Pain conducts research on the physiological basis for pelvic pain and longitudinal trials for prevention of chronic pelvic pain.

Dr. Tu directs a National Institute of Diabetes and

Digestive and Kidney Diseases funded clinical trial treating menstrual pain to reduce some women’s risk for developing chronic pelvic pain later in life.

Dr. Hellman is principal investigator on a National Institute of Child Health and Human Development grant to study the underlying mechanisms of menstrual cramps in women.
